Sandra and Brendan
RubyJude was formed in Nov 2014 when we decided to split our time between gigging at sea and on land. Previously we had been at sea for up to 9 months of the year and fancied a change. Sandra and Brendan came to our very first wedding showcase in Counihans Bar Cork and booked the band there and then. Additionally they availed of one of our price packages which included Ceremony and Dj (provided by Ted Dunne. A sunny winter’s morning saw guests arrive to Rathbarry Church from Ardfield and Limerick. Sandra walked up the aisle looking unreal to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. Later in The Celtic Ross guests took to the dance floor and literally sang the night away. Even through my in-ear monitoring I could hear them sing along to disco classics like “I Will Survive” and modern hit such as “Cant Stop The Feeling” and “Cheap Thrills”.
I was a guest at the wedding, and I would highly recommend RubyJude to any couple planning a wedding.
The music at the ceremony was among the best I have heard, Angelas singing and playing were superb. Later in the night the band were ideal, mixing genres and pace freely, interacting with the guests and helping to make it a memorable night for all the right reasons.
I will be keeping an eye out for Ruby Jude in the future, and will be going to gigs when I can.
